What Is Ultrasonic Screw Nut Inserting

Ultrasonic inserting is the process of embedding metal parts into the thermoplastic parts through ultrasound waves. Ultrasonic vibration contacts the metal insert through the ultrasonic horn, causing the heat to be transferred to the embedding hole of the plastic part, and the plastic part interfering with the embedding hole to melt and flow into the bottom of the embedding hole and melt with the tooth pattern of the insert, when this part of the plastic cooled, the metal insert is fixed in the insert hole of the plastic part. It is particularly important to note that the size of the embedded hole needs to be slightly smaller than the size of the embedded nut, and the embedded hole needs to be designed with a certain angle of interference to provide a guiding effect for the metal component. The outer surface of the metal insert is usually designed with tooth patterns to enhance the tensile strength of the inserting. Compared with traditional thermal embedding, ultrasonic inserting has a stronger tensile force, but it is not suitable for simultaneous inserting of metal parts with large areas and high drop points. The price of ultrasonic inserting is also more expensive-generally the ultrasonic welding head (ultrasonic horn ) should use titanium alloy or alloy steel material!

ultrasonic inserting

Ultrasonic embedding is not limited by the type of insert. Many other types of applications, such as: eye frame hinges, machine screws, screws, metal gaskets, metal inner shells of lipstick tubes, round pins, metal shafts, metal meshes, metal screens and so on.
